Anyone else having this problem? I'm trying to create a new Apple ID on the web and when I hit Continue after filling out the form, I get a dialog that says

"Your request could not be completed at this time.
Your account cannot be created at this time."

I tried in Safari and Firefox. Same response both times. Wondering if anyone else is having trouble.

ETA: Thank you for moving to the appropriate forum, mods!

Same problem here. Account creation fails on what seems like every device, Apple or non-Apple.

Glad it's not just me!

ETA: Just for the heck of it, I went ahead and did a support chat with Apple just now. They asked for the Apple ID I was trying to create, did something on their end, and voila! I now have a brand-spanking-new Apple ID!

same here. without white listening your e-mail address and maybe mobile phone number in the apple system it's currently not possible to create an apple id since month.

they also have info disclosure issues on https://appleid.apple.com/sign-in

here you can check if e-mail address or mobile phone number is an apple id because after inserting data an confirming the website checks if inserted data is part of an apple id. if not you only see an password input field. if data is part of an apple id you are asked to enter password or passkey

Having the same problem, im trying to open new AppleID and after I finish filling out the form I always get -

“Your request could not be completed at this time. Your account cannot be created at this time."

I've tried doing this on my iPhone, iPad (via settings or Safari) and my Mac, and I always end up with the same result. I even updated to the latest iPadOS and it didn’t help.

How can I solve this?

contact apple support. seems that it is still required that they whitelist your e-mail address. real stupid what apple is doing here.
