Hello everyone,

I sold an iphone 5 where my screen wasn't working and the power button the top wasn't working. It sold on ebay for about 30bucks, I also stated it was locked to tunes because my phone screen was messing up and the passcode was incorrectly entered.

The buyer has now fitted a new iphone screen and is asking me to give my apple ID and passport so that he/she can open the device, what should i do? I sold it on ebay for parts and did not know I would get this hassle!

You shouldn't give your usernames and passwords to other people.

Do NOT give anyone your apple id and password.

Follow the directions here to remove the lock remotely:
https://support.apple.com/kb/ph19302?locale=en_US

(Start from "Remove an iOS device, Apple Watch, or Mac you no longer have")

Alternatively:
Did your eBay listing explicitly state that the phone was being sold for parts only?
If so, remind the buyer of that.
