Hi,

I need your help.

I have an old Apple ID that I use from several years. (associated with email A)

Now I decided to change the email address associated and use a B email address that I use only to park the apple id.

I disassociate every part of the account from the old email address, recovery email, secondary mail etc...

Now I want to create a new AppleID with the old email address A but when I try AppleID tell me that I can't because the email address have been used as a Apple ID.

Why?

Apple don't allow to create a new Apple ID with an email address that has been used to create another Apple ID?

Do you suggest to call Apple Support and ask to delete everything from their system?

Thanks

Go to applied.apple.com and login. Very old "email-based" apple id's can be a problem because they weren't verified. That is, people could use an email address *that isn't theirs* to create an Apple ID, or as a recovery address. It can get complicated sorting this out, but calling Apple Support helped me get it right.

Apple tell me that when in the past an email has been used to create an appleID it can't be reused to create another Apple ID.
