Hello, I was wondering how Apple id suppose to work. I have a Mac mini and an iPad. the same Apple ID is used for both devices. On the iPad, I tried to signin iMessage and FaceTime, I keep getting "An error occurred during activation." Shouldn't an Apple ID works with all Apple devices?

Secondly, I am still unable to sync the Safari bookmarks and Reading List from my Mac to the iPad. Everything on the Mac iCloud and iPad iCloud are turned on, all buttons are green.
attached is a screen shot of my Safari on the iPad. As you can see on the left split where is has two taps All and Favorites. Shouldn't either or both of them filled up with some links?

Thirdly. the iTunes on the Mac is enabled for Home sharing, but on the iPad there is no sign of Home Sharing.

Thanks.

On your Mac Mini, in system preferences>iCloud, make sure Safari is checked. Then on your iPad, in settings>iCloud, toggle the Safari button off then on. If still not working, try signing out and then back in iCloud on both the Mini and iPad.

repeated these steps numerous times! :(

"Wondering if that has something to do with the syncing failure..." For the longest time, I suspect it may be the case but I can never pin point it or confirm it.

The other thing odd is many years I had a different Apple ID, I had Changed it in appleid.apple.com few years ago with a new ID, but when I sign in my iTunes, the old one keeps showing up. The Apple ID is a mess, I don't know how Apple's management process is, but it is a mess.
