I changed my email address. I'm trying to change it with Apple. I go to the Apple ID website and enter my new address and I get a message "A verification email has been sent to XXXXX@gmail.com."

Email never shows up. I've been doing this all day... multiple times with the same address, I've tried a different address and even tried my work email.

The verification email from Apple hasn't shown up on any of them. There's nothing in spam folders either.

I didn't think something this simple would be this frustrating. A google search reveals this is a problem for others as well.

Suggestions? Can I call someone and get this done over the phone?

I was having same problem tonight. Apple support acknowledged it's a problem and said to try again in 24 hours. Blah.

That's helpful... I'd say call them again and if they say the same thing, just lie and say you've already done it four days in a row (I didn't just recommend you lying. Do not accuse me of such things!)

I tried again about 4 hours ago... nothing.

I just tried again... and got the verification email and got my ID updated.

Weird... but this common problem seems to be resolved for now. Thanks for the responses everyone!
