So here's the story....
I updated OS X Lion on my Macbook Pro last week... Tried iCloud and because the email I have been using for years with apple had not been verified I couldn't get my iCloud to work. Requested a verification email several times and never got one. So I decided to change my alternate email, which has been verified, to my Apple ID. That got my iCloud to work. Signed out of all my apps that use my Apple ID, resigned in, and they all work.... EXCEPT, my App Store. It keeps displaying my Apple ID, instead of the email, and when I put my password in it says its wrong.

-please offer some advice or help if you can.
Thank You!

Updating apps shows the prompt with my old ID
New apps show my email

There was a similar problem on a friends iPhone 4. When they went to update an app in the app store it was showing the apple id of the previous owner (their spouse). None of the others apps did this. I took a look & realized what happened. After restoring iphone to factory settings they signed in to the app store with the old owners id so they could download a few apps. Then they signed up the new phone owner w/ an apple id of his own. Certain apps had been linked to the original id and the rest were linked to his new apple id.

Basically we had to delete the apps that were displaying the wrong apple id & re-download them w/ the new apple id and all was well. Not sure if this applies in your case but worth a shot if you wont be losing any important data.
