I posted a copy of a letter i have sent to Apples head of PR, and even the Apple staff over at the discussions forums removed it. With all the hassle MobileMe had caused many of us, why the hell are they just ignoring us?

Dear (Kiwi_Lee),

Off-topic or Non-Technical Posts
Rude or Inappropriate Language or Behavior
Non-Constructive Rants or Complaints

We are including a copy of your post at the end of this email for your reference.

A copy of your message for reference:

Good Morning

I was hoping at least somebody at Apple would have the common courtesy to reply as so far my emails to feedback and support have after four days been unanswered, yourself as a PR person hopefully helping to market and up Apples good name i would assume would be more than happy to respond to my complaints.

Firstly let me point out me, i am a devoted and loyal user of Apples Computers, i am the sort of user that for years has converted friends and family over from PCs to the great Apple Mac, i am the type that treats the Apple name and logo as holy, i have Apple Mac stickers proudly on my car! So to say i would normally bow down to the Apple Gods and never hear a word said against them, but sadly this past few days have just lead me to seriously leaving the Apple world and even denouncing Apples good name as a very poor company that does not care for its loyal fan base. So i hope if you would prefer not to be losing customers and fans then you will endeavour to read on and offer some response please.

What has got me all upset? Well along with seemingly thousands of Apples other loyal users the great fiasco known globally as "MobileMe" and its current poor state is the problem, or actually to be fair buggy new software i can handle and understand, its really i suppose Apples response to these problems that has upset me. The response in question? Well it is simple that there is NO response, according to the world of Apple and press relations and its service status pages, everything in the world is glorious, everything is working fine and dandy? If only Apple was big enough to admit "**** sorry, we are having some major bugs and issues, we have had to cut out some features to get things running, and we apologise for the problems and are working on it" Then i for one would sit back thinking that Apple is on the case and all in the world will be good soon. But no, as Apple seem fit to "pretend" that all is well and roses are red, and even deliberately mislead (see below) its l
oyal fans i am fuming to almost hatred of the Apple name right now.

Below is SOME of the many many major bugs and problems with the service right now, now i appreciate your role is not support and i wouldn't expect you to answer my problems, but at least my list will give you an idea of the true poor nature of the service that Apple is currently boasting is "all good and working fine" ??! ?
I give you the Mobileme Service:

-Timezones do not work in mail at all, even mobileme support appear to deny this problem upon requesting support, even though it can be proved? Emails arriving with all wrong date sand times.
-The idisk sharing feature that was widely promised and touted doesn't even seem to exist?
-In address books, only four countries are options for address layouts, does Apple believe the world this small?
-Subscribed calendars do not work?
-Address book does not work with emails, so you have to copy and paste?
-Idisk storage is not working and shows up as 0mb even though its nearly full?
-Tiger users (10.4.11) have to still have there service referred to as dormac as we are clearly not important enough to warrant a new update (simple changing the icons would be so simple to apple).
-And of course the big one.........PUSH service does not exist from desktop applications?

And on the note of the last item, was Apple conning users into a false advertisement? Certainly in many countries Apples advertising and WWDC keynote was clearly misleading and implied that PUSH service was instant across all devices, "Exchange for the rest of us" ? Well Exchange is instant, the Mobileme service works on a regular synchronisation that is not PUSH or Exchange? So whats with Apples deliberate misleading of users and customers? And even Apple seem to be attempting to cover the affair up, check the sly change of adverts to cover ones back-side! ?

http://att.macrumors.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=124482&d=1216022123

Now as i said to start, the technical problems and buggy service i could handle and accept if Apple let us all know what was happening, whats being fixed etc? But right now Apple is too busy announcing the amount of Iphones sold and smiling with glee to seem to care about its losing customers by the 1000s due to the last few days poor service? All we ask for is some explanations, some reasoning as to why certain features are not as advertised, some features are non existent, why some parts just plainly dont work at all and when we can expect them to be working? The sheer attitude and audacity of Apple right now is wrong to pretend all is well and leave us all wondered if the current broken poor service is what we can expect from the once great Apple.

I hope and expect as PR, you can offer some light on this fiasco, and indeed i hope can persuade your company to enlighten its loyal fans as to what in the world is going on with the poor Mobileme mess please.

Yours

I think its because you swore and it did also ramble a little bit. However I do share your frustrations.

While I certainly commend you for taking the time to write the letter I will have to say that your wording was quite offensive (towards Apple, not me) and that may be why your post was deleted and they seem to ignore you.

They most likely want to talk to you over the phone to see if you are a genuinely concerned customer or just an irate one. Your letter comes across as an irate customer. When you do talk to them on the phone and if you really want a company to "hear" I recommend you don't use words like "Fiasco" or, "I have a complaint" or "Apple Gods" or "Apple conning people" or" Apple deliberately misleading loyal fans" and so on.
Also I wouldn't go there about Apple bragging about how many iPhones they have sold.

Just remain calm and tell them you are concerned and your daily work routine was interrupted and it cost you time and money......da da da da.

If you come at them the way you wrote the letter it will go in one ear and out the other and they will see you as just an irate customer and will do nothing. Good luck.:)

Well i had a 30min conversation with a PR executive from Apple who called me today and it went very well.

I was very pleased with his interest and care in my issues and he is looking into what some of the problems are still (timezones wrong, sync problems), He also said he would find out if and why Tiger would or would not be getting the .mac icons etc updated ever. Ironically he informed me that he himself still had some problems with his MM and also hadnt received the 30day and apology email himself either.

He even mentioned having discussed MM with Mr.Jobs, but said Steve's right-hand men where primarily dealing with it,

He has promised to call again mid-week to see how my problems with MM are going.

Thankyou Mr. PR for restoring some of my faith in Apple..

I spent valuable time hanging around the Apple Store in Boston. The genius employee I met with went out of his way to assist me. That is what I expect of Apple.

What I did not expect from Apple was this roll out of a refurnished product, packaged as new, where I felt like i was dealing with microsoft
