iPod apple in ear headphones sound better after use?

maybe it's my imagination, but they sound better to me after a week or so of use. the bass is much better now. anyone else experience this?

Your ears adapt to them, I've been using the Bose In-Ears for a while but then they broke so I had to use the standard white iPod Headphones, at first they sounded like ****, but as a few weeks went by I got used to them.

All headphones require a certain amount of breaking in to reach their optimum sound quality. Some manufacturers recommend around 40 hours of using them until they sound how they should.
