Hi!!! I'm doing an assessment about Apple strategy in 1980... I need to know what was its competitive advatages in this period.

After reading articles and dessertation I found that it could be its technology innovation, design but what about its price? after all it seems that the main goal of Apple was to be accessible for everybody... And what about vertical and horizontal integration? could I say that producing its own software, hardware and control all the producation chain is a competitive advatages whereas a lot of the topic in this forum say that is a very bad point for them...

In advances thank you for the people who'll take the time to help... (and a big sorry for my english, i'm sure there is many mistakes in my post)

do your own homework.

a thoughtful discussion is fine, but clearly stating that you're doing a homework assignment then asking the forum questions to assist in your homework is simply passing the buck on your part. these are questions you should obviously be researching and using your findings to establish your own conclusion.

You'll be better off doing your own research. Some (many?) of the posts could have mis-information, errors and you'll not be able to cite anything from here as a reference. Check out some of the biographies, like iWoz, iCon, apple confidential 2.0 for information regarding apple through the years.
