Hello.

This is kind of a rant, but it's beyond ridiculous, and after many years sticking to and loving the apple ecosystem, I'm growing tired of apple's "padded cell" mentality, and its stubborness in forbidding users to customize their experience...

So, I was pretty excited about the gpt implementation into macOS.
I use gpt quite a lot for work, and I find describing things the way I'd do with a human to be much better than we used to do with google searches.

I was very excited for macOS 15.2 and the ability to integrate siri with chatGPT but I found its implementation to be the most stupid thing ever.
The issue is that siri has no logic in deciding when GPT is needed, leading to immense frustration.
In so many occasion I have to write a request, and I get a useless google search, then I ask again and I get the same, and again...I only get the prompt to use gpt after 4 or 5 times asking the same thing.

This would be easily fixed if apple allowed users to toggle asking gpt all the time, but of course apple doesn't provide that option...

Now I know users will tell me to use the official gpt app or the browser version, and these are fine suggestions, but it doesn't change the fact this implementation has proved to be truly useless.
I'm disabling siri and apple intelligence until Apple will have finally created a bespoke LLM to be used with siri (or a way to use chat gpt with siri all the time), at least on the mac.

This whole apple intelligence thing has been a truly botched launch.
