3rd iPhone 3Gs in 3 months. All of them autolaunch Mail, Safari, Ipod
Well, I didn't know that Apple was getting into the Automation business.
Due to what I perceived as 'Out of the box' battery life issue, I'm on my 3rd iPhone in 3 months, and the batteries were/are being drained by Apple Apps that I NEVER TURN ON. They go on by themselves!!!
During my exploration as to whey the battery life on this phone literally SUCKED, I found and downloaded the non Apple App 'System Activity Monitor' It's an awesome app that shows How Many Resouces (Free Memory, Wired Memory, Active, Inactive, Page Ins & Outs, CPU Usage, by User, System, Programs in use, etc.) and noticed that WITHOUT ME HAVING LAUNCHED ANY APPLE APPS, and I don't have Mail enabled so why would it launch Mail? but this, and the other 2 iPhones have a sneaky way to SUCK system resources, hence battery life, without the user EVER KNOWING what was going on in the background.
I use System Actitvity to force quit open apps. I put in a call to Apple iPhone Tech Support and posted a message on Apple.com/feedback. I also suggested that Apple add a triangle or green light to their icons to show which applications are active at any given time (just like the aliases in the dock have triangle.)
Anybody have ANY IDEA why these iPhones launch programs all on their own? The robots have landed, the droids have wiggled into the matrix.
HELP!!!
