Apple Ipad 2018 smart cover durable?

Hi guys.I wanted to know if the ipad smart cover is a good stand for the ipad or does it fall down?

The SmartCover for the 2018 iPad is stable in both "upright" and "keyboard" orientations. It DOES need to be resting on a solid surface like a table though.

Mine has been stable enough to type and tap against. Like sracer wrote, you do need a stable surface; which I guess, would apply to just about anything.
