I just did a demo of the Apple iPad connected to Ford Sync. Sadly, sync via USB doesn't work, but A2DP works brilliantly!

Enjoy!

Many thanks for the demo. Should work identically in our Ford Fusion Hybrid with Synch. Previously got Pandora to stream via Bluetooth with a Droid but the audio volume seemed pretty low and mediocre quality. Your Ipad sounded great so will have to get our new 3G iPad paired to try out.

Yes, the audio quality is amazing, much better than using an analog aux jack. I even tested this on a Ford Fusion with Sync. Of course, you don't need the iPad for A2DP streaming. The iPhone 3GS and iPod 2nd gen will work as well.

I wish I had mentioned charging in this video, but USB charging only works if the screen is locked (similar to any other 5-Watt USB source).
