Apple iPhone won't arrive (in oz) until late 2008

Apparently no Aussie iphone until end of 2008...

They really need this to be 3g to be credible outside of the US even if 90% of users don't really use the 3g capabilities. It makes apple look out of date, sorry to say.

Hope so- if you read what optus, three, vodafone Austarlia(and teh head of vodafone in the UK is diplomatically saying its a non starter without 3g) are saying its 'what a great phone but until its 3g we are not interested as no one will buy it'- there here are hardly any non 3g networks left so coverage will be pretty poor, it will be constantly on roaming to the non 3g network(s?).not good. Come on apple face up to it.
