Hi, just checking to see if the grill (earpiece) on the XS Max or XS is usually distorted as shown in the pic? https://imgur.com/a/QEP7tjT I'm guessing it's just a manufacture issue and random. I don't want to fuss about something that doesn't appear to affect speaker quality, but I was interested to know if other users had the same or similar distortion on the device? Or does it suggest the grill is not inserted correctly? Thanks

Are you referring to what appears to be a gap at the bottom of the grill?
If it bothers you you can always make a G bar appointment and see what they say.
I'm sure if you protest enough they will replace the device.

Although in my opinion the phone looks fine. I have never inspected one this closely.
You will probably have a hard time getting the Apple rep to even see this "defect" IMHO.

Thanks. I was referring to the mesh itself. If you follow the mesh pattern from left to right you can see it is warped on the left and straightens out towards the right. I'm guessing that's just a manufacture issue. But it is very hard to see with the naked eye...

I've answered my own question. It is just the manufacture process of the grill. Other XS models show similar grill patterns... time to start enjoying the phone!

I have the same issue on my XS myself.
