I think you’re absolutely right. Rumors have it that at their last board meeting, they all decided that the iPhone wasn’t worth the headache anymore and that they’re thinking of getting out of that segment.

Two things.
Why would Apple kill very close to half of their revenue and most recognizable product? Unless there is a bunch of real maniacs in the place, they would not do that. The MacBook Pro was never Apple's main product, by then the iPod was dominant, and the iPhone was a year away.
Second, Apple was great in the 90s? They almost shut down because their product line was so complicated and stagnant, very few remember those as the good days. Apple now is no different if not better than it was in the 90s.

I don’t “love it” but I also don’t vehemently hate it. It needs quite a bit of work and Apple will fix it.
Some of you on here are ready to dump Apple at the first mistake they make. As if your lives even depend on the software you’re complaining about, because unless it’s a business critical device, I’m afraid you can live without.
As a side note, this is why Apple should have never opened up the betas to the public and instead restrict them to developers’ registered devices. The whining has increased 100 fold since the introduced the Public Beta and people expect beta builds to operate like a production build. They think they’re cool running the latest software until it craps out on them and then they complain.
You run beta software at your own risk and you are absolutely not entitled to have it, and most of you shouldn’t have it because you’re incapable of properly using it with the right expectations.
Well they've fixed all the issues that were pissing ME off ... so I'm good now. It's been like this for several years now when a new iOS version comes out. I don't know why this shocks everyone year after year. Yes, bugs are annoying ... but they can't spot all the bugs until it's on millions of devices. I'm not disagreeing that a trillion dollar company should have more quality control, but this is nothing new.

Can you define "odd behavior"? They killed off the MBP?
Are you sure this isn't just a case of OS updates presenting changes to someone that is naturally resistant to change?
The reason I say that is because every update there are a lot of threads that ask how to make the device behavior function the way it did before the update regardless if that is a more efficient way of doing things or not.
The problem with that is you can sometimes do it, however eventually you won't be able to. This causes someone to go from 'minor user adjustments to incremental changes' to 'completely relearning how the device works'.

My iPhone 7+ is mostly okay.
Battery seems to be fine now.
Mail is still a little oddball but maybe I need to archive a bunch of old emails.
Notes is still a mess
All of my other issues appear to be fixed with 13.2.
I am aware that a lot of people do have a lot of remaining issues from reading here.

everyone has a phone. Go figure; apple is in a competitive market with a premium product.
my issues seem random;
a cut past donst work but i can to type it in
someone leaves a vice message or email and i get locked out
an app takes 2-3 tries before it comes up
the safari screen goes into zoom and will not come back.
the quickPad thinks i am on the left side while physically on the way right hand side
co-worker will see my frustration and bring up the article in Forbs.com i should have read
