Apple keyboard info required.

Is there way of switching off the keyboard on a Mac or is it designed to switch off after a period of inactivity?

Which keyboard? The current ones have an on/off switch.

Thanks, Cookie. This has a countersunk button switch at the bottom of the battery holder, but it doesn't indicate whether the board is on of off. If I have switched off the Mac, I can't tell whether it's on or off. The green Led flashes once and nothing else.
