We are all waiting for a new iPad Pro event. But heck just yesterday Apple launched a Huge product Air Pods Pro with no event no live stream. Just surpirise.

Could they do the same with a product thats Not an accessory?

I mean they updated the Macbook Pro with a new GPU from AMD less than 10 months from its original update. Enraging man MacBook Pro owners

It isn’t atypical to not hold events for incremental updates.

(Though many these days are arguing that even the new products at the keynote events are little more than incremental updates.)

Another topic for another thread.

They may or may not release a new iPad Pro but it seems like a new MacBook Pro is more likely but events are usually for big announcements. I don’t see Apple holding one until March or June 2020.

They are supposed to release the iPhone SE2 around March.

I would think that a new iPad based on the A13 would be launched before the end of the year - they'd get a lot of sales just for the CPU. But Apple is really busy with a lot of hardware. And fixing a ton of software bugs.

I’m starting to think an event in March for a new iPad Pro and for the SE2 is pretty much a go at this point.
I think you're probably right, as much as I hate that. I don't want to buy a Pro and then have a new one drop in 3 months. I know I'll be happy with it, but I want to futureproof my stuff as long as I can.

And they didn't have to take down the online store... Imagine that!!! A trillion dollar company figured out how to add a product without taking down the website for a couple of hours wow!

At this point, as badly as i want a refreshed Ipad Pro (i love the current model and have bought several and returned all of them strictly because of the bending issue. I mean when they are bending when i am trying to get them in the case to prevent them from bending, then its a serious issue for me))...i would be highly shocked if we get new pros by the end of the year now..

and ultimately i am fine with that. The current line is almost a year old now and ideally you want it to be state of the art for at-least 15-16 months and that would end right around march of next year, so im fully expecting at the earliest new pros in march!

Im just disappointed we dident get an event this year to announce a one more thing with apple glasses

It's been pretty much figured out at this point that Apple only takes the store down to build hype, they can do it all silently if they'd like. (I imagine you know this, but some newer people may not)

For that to happen in March 2020 TSMC, would have had to have began new 7nm A13X Production and TSMC output and runs are very closely monitored it’s like a bakery they can only make certain kinds of batches and it would have leaked by now that a run or batch at some TSMC Fab was going and it hasn’t like the A12X was known to be an 8 Core 7nm CPU by TSMC when it started fabrication.

What is TSMC?
