iPad Pro Apple Leather Sleeve and Smart Keyboard?

i am currently using the Apple Leather Sleeve with the Smart Cover and my iPad Pro 12.9. Works great. Have you tried the sleeve and Smart Keyboard. Will it work together without undue effort?

There’s dozens of videos on YouTube about this. It will fit, but it stretches the leather perminantly.

Will the Smart Cover be better? I'm in productivity mode only about 15% of the time, so I can easily use the virtual keyboard.
