Okay, I think I might have found a way to get a PS3 hooked up to the Apple Cinema Display. Could someone who knows a little bit more about video cables verify if this will work or not.

This should work right. I know it is a lot of things to buy, but the signal should work because it is all digital. This would retain the audio and video right?
 
Never mind, it looks like HDMI and DisplayPort signals aren't the same. So it looks like the only thing that is holding this up from working is something that acutally converts an HDMI signal to something a DisplayPort can understand.
 
Right.. not possible to connect PS3 to LED Cinema. Besides, DisplayPort doesn't carry audio, so you'd need to figure out a separate audio path via USB.
