It's the sixth day with my watch (42SS+LB) and i can't figure out how many links i have to remove.
One day i remove four and it fits snug and perfect, the other day i need to remove five or else the watch slides around on my wrist.

Anyone else with this problem?

I had a watch with some kind of a link bracelet before, but it was somewhat flexible. The apple LB absolutely is not.

weird...

There is no way that a link bracelet can be flexible. You are probably confusing a link bracelet with an expandable bracelet. Expandable bracelets get their flexibility from the springs that connect the segments. Link bracelets have no springs.

I started with removing 6 (3 on each side) and the watch fit as all my other watches fit, a little loose, and slid down my arm an inch or so, but still comfortable. I was reading the booklet and for an accurate heart rate reading, the watch has to fit snug. So I removed one more link (total of 7) and now the watch is snug and doesnt slide down my arm when raised. Its still comfortable but will take some getting use to because ive worn a watch for 10+ years that moved around my wrist.

Im going to leave it with 7 removed just so i get the most accurate reading possible even if it takes some getting use to.

I feel your pain! I have a couple bracelet band watches for sport use. Because of the ups and downs of wrist size I have both set REALLY loose. (neither of these can be adjusted as easily as the Apple, however).

I have the same problem. I seem to be between links. One one setting it is just a bit too tight, but if I add a link it is a bit too lose.

Like others, I have found that on my looser setting the Activity readings are not as accurate and on occasion my watch locks itself and I need to re-enter the passcode as my watch has lost detection with my wrist. As a result, when I exercise I remove a link and then re-add it once I have finished my workout.

I wish the Apple Link Band allowed micro adjustments (like my Tag Heuer link bracelet). My old watch allowed half link adjustments by changing holes in the clasp.

This problem has me deciding on whether I want to keep my link bracelet or return it as changing the links on my watch on a daily basis is frustrating.

We must have similar wrist sizes. 6 links loose, 7 links tight. For all the features to work appropriately I have to remove 7. I find it comfortable for the most part but I can definitely feel it being a little tight at some points throughout the day as my wrist size fluctuates slightly. I haven't worn a watch in some time so sometimes I think I am just readjusting to having a watch on again also but I really think for the price micro adjustments should have been possible.

Sometimes making the band asymmetrical helps when right in between sizes. Instead of, say, taking out three from each side, try two and four.

My SSLB is preparing for shipment, so I can put the theory to the test soon (though it's helped with other metal bands of mine).

I had this concern given the lack of fine adjustment on the Apple link bracelet.

I have been using my 42mm SS with classic buckle since launch day (24 April). I typically adjust it between two settings to accommodate changes in my wrist size over the course of the day.

My link bracelet arrived last Friday. It needed to remove four links to give it a comfortable fit. I have been wearing it for the last three days, and it continues to be comfortable. When it is loose I have noticed the weight of the band holds it down against my wrist. This has (so far) been tight enough to prevent the passcode lock being activated. There are times when it can be a bit tight, but not enough to be uncomfortable.

So I seems I'm fortunate enough that the Apple link bracelet fits me well, so I will be keeping it.

Mine arrives tomorrow. I'm crossing fingers it'll fit well once adjusted. If not, I'll return it and use the Milanese loop as my metal band instead. The SSLB is my first choice, however

So my SSLB was delivered today.

OMG it's amazing. Love it. Looks and feels incredible.

For a good fit I took 4 links out - two from each side. Fit well but the clasp was a bit off center for the way I like it to lay on my wrist, so I switched some links so 3 came off my thumb side and one off my pinky side. Pulls the clasp back to midline and keeps the watch on my wrist where I like it positioned. Fits wonderfully.

The Milanese loop is going back to the store.

I had also ordered a medium black leather loop. Not sure I even want to open it. I'm in love with the SSLB.

I ordered the Black Leather Loop, which came in early May. I enjoy it quite a bit but after seeing all the beautiful link bracelet videos and pictures I broke down and had to order it last week. I also have a white sport band, but I think I will be returning my leather loop soon in anticipation for the link.

I'm glad you like yours so much. I can't wait for mine to arrive!

I agree with all of you. I absolutely adore the look of the SSLink bracelet. Looking at the HOCO etc, I like the bands but I don't love how they connect to the watch. The Apple bracelet to me is worth the extra $$ just for looks.

BTW xraydoc, I sent you a PM

Love the SS Link Bracelet, but it's going back to Apple.

I love the SS Link Bracelet, it looks and feels great, but being between links means that the bracelet does not fit on my wrist exactly how I like it to.

I wish that the bracelet allowed micro adjustments (or they provided a half link), but in it's current form it's not an ideal fit for me. Unfortunately for $679AUD I want it to be a perfect fit.

I have ordered a Hoco Stainless Steel link bracelet, and whilst I also don't like the way it attaches to the watch case it more closely resembles the watch band on my Tag Heuer (which I love). With any luck there will a other third party band manufacturers which makes other link bracelets.

If the other link bracelets don't work for me either, I will probably re-order the Apple Link Bracelet, but in the interim it's goodbye to my Apple Link Bracelet :(

I have had an issue similar to this, but mine seems like it happens the same time each day. I wake up and shower, and when I put my watch on. The braclet is super loose and won't stay in place, but usually by the time I drive to school the watch is snug for the rest of the day. Sometimes it even leaves marks on my wrist where I wear it, but I like my watches really tight:p

An old thread but I have the same problem. I have large wrists (10 for the Apple size measurement) and find the link bracelet a little tight. Not uncomfortable. When I add a link it then feels too loose? I mean, how loose/tight is it supposed to be? I feel it gets tighter in the summer months.

Do you have to constantly enter passcode?

For stainless steel bracelets, just like any Watch from other brands, you adjust the number of links to the closest for your fit and then you micro adjust it by moving it up or down your wrist. You can wear it higher up your wrist if you feel it’s a little bit loose.
