Hi,

I’m just wondering how many of you use your new iPad Pro 2024 to take photos? How do you find the quality of these vs those of the iPhone? I honestly can’t tell any difference as a strictly point and click photographer. The photo I have here looks pretty good to me at least. I guess the main concern would be the inconvenience of carrying around your iPad just to take snaps.

For the inconvenience factor alone this is not an option for me.

Hmm, if you had to specifically grab the iPad to take photos, then sure it’s inconvenient.

If the iPad was already in your hands though, taking photos using the iPad is probably more convenient than finding some place to set it down and getting your phone from your pocket. I’ve encountered this at work a couple of times when documenting things. I just used the iPad camera since it’s easier.

Sure in the random scenario where your iPad is closer to the phone one might pick up the heavier and less easy to handle device but I bet you that is looking for a use case in theory. In the real world I grab my phone. And I don’t roam the countryside either with my large iPad.

Scans are way better on the iPad now than the phone. Enough of an improvement to counter the inconvenience of taking a photo with an iPad.

How has it become better? Any improvement would apply to iPhone as well wouldn’t it?
