I have a Mac that is eligible for Mac Book Battery Replacement program. It also has a speaker that seems to be damaged, as the sound is distorted. Normally Apple charge £300 to replace this (I'm in the UK).

Because the speaker is located in the same place as the battery, would they consider replacing this at a lower price?

Or I am better not saying anything (as systems that already have faults may not be eligible for battery replacement).

Love to hear from someone who has had experience. Thanks!

If you paid for the battery replacement, that is all you'll get. If something else requires optional fixing, they will tell you about it. However, if something that requires fixing is there, they'll tell you and also refuse to replace the battery until you consent to both repairs.

Which model do you have? I had the battery of a 2015 13" replaced last year (it had swollen) and the standard procedure with that repair is to swap the whole top case, so the machine received a new keyboard, trackpad, etc as well. Based on that, I believe you should receive replacement speakers if you have your battery swapped.

FWIW, my repair was done at the Basingstoke Apple Store.

Yup thanks for clarifying, forgot to mention that what is replaced depends on the model year.

It's the 2015 15" (Mid-2105, retina). I think I've read that for the model, the battery is in the top case, so hopefully, they will replace it all.
