Hello guys,

I recently received my new Mac mini M1, overall I'm happy with my new computer.
But today I have realized a strange behavior: whenever I plug any USB disk or pendrive into the USB as port, WiFi suddenly stops working, or becomes extremely slow and unusable!
I have connected a USB Logitech camera to one USB port without issues, so I assume it only happens with dongles, hard disks?
I have a 5 Ghz WiFi 6ax connection, so I don't understand. Does my new computer has a hardware issue?
Would really appreciate your help!
Thanks!

I have a Logitech USB dongle/receiver plugged in mine. I have a very ancient Logitech webcam also plugged in. I also had a OWC HD plugged in with no issues, but I'm now using it via a OWC Thunderbolt 4 dock.

I'm using an Orbi RBK50 mesh Wifi system. So far I'm not having WiFi issues.

I have been testing, my connection is actually 802.11ax, so I changed the setting in my router to only broadcast to 802.11ac, and it works flawlessly

Please let Apple know. I don't have ax, but I'm sure others do. How is your speed having dropping down to ac vs ax, can you tell the difference?

The speed drops, but I certainly cannot tell the difference in real world settings, so I'll guess I'll stick to ac until Apple decides to fix this. Will let them know of course.
