It feels like forever since iLife or iWork were updated. After the release of Apple Classical on iOS, I thought we'd be getting it on macOS before too long. Now I'm waiting for Journal App on the Mac (where I'm sat through most of every day. I wonder if it's ever coming.

iLife and iWork were retired long ago and broken out into separate apps which are regularly updated.

iOS and iPad were seen as the priority platform for Apple Music Classical, followed by Android. Reasonable to expect it on macOS and (possibly) CarPlay sometime. Since Music and Apple Music Classical share the same library, anything you add to your Library in Apple Music Classical will appear in Music on a Mac and on CarPlay.

Still in Beta on iOS. Its feature set seems to make it more appropriate to a mobile device.

Other Mac apps, like Logic Pro get frequent updates.

It’s been 2 month that Pages, Numbers and Keynote were updated; Garageband was updated 3 weeks ago; Sonoma incl. Photos was updated yesterday… 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️
