Apple Mail will not save messages

I am using Apple Mail version 2.0.5. Every time I try to save a message I get an error message that simply says, "Error- The message cannot be saved." I have never been able to save a message, so help would be greatly appreciated

What format are you trying to save the message in? Have you tried different ones?

I'm trying to save the message as a draft. I simply open up a new message, enter the recipient, subject, etc., and click "Save As Draft" in the upper right side of the message. That is when I get the error message. Any more input?

what kind of account is it?

applemail won't save drafts when i use my imap account, but with my pop3 ones they work fine.

If your are using IMAP, specifically Courier IMAP, you must specify what Mailboxes go to what folder.

Select your Sent Mail folder (IMAP server one), goto Menu, Mailbox, Use This Mailbox For... then Select Sent Mail.

You have to do the same for Drafts, Trash and Junk.
