Every year you release a new phone, new features, new chip. Ok. Great.
The dynamic island, cool idea, strange name. Ok. Great.
A better camera. OMG, shocker, didn't see that coming. Not!
Let's talk about what we really want. We use our phones a lot. Most of us, and I mean most of us are NOT professional photographers and moviemakers. Apple, if that is truly your market, make a $2000+ Ultra (to borrow some Mac Studio and Watch naming) iPhone that is bigger, thicker, and way way way way more Camera than phone/internet/app device.
For the REST OF US, we want our phone to do what:
Text / Mail / Browse / Call
Take really good pictures but we're not protographers.
And we want to run all the apps we run.
FOR THAT WE NEED:
A good chip.
A great battery.
Good cameras.
And wait for it.... The iPhone to actually be better at calls. We got 5G with the 12. But it seems that phone call and cellular connectivity are still the biggest issues that plague the phone. Apple, how about concentrating a bit more of your innovation in the two biggest key areas of what a smartphone should actually be good at.
And maybe cooling, cause this thing gets so hot so easy when I use it.
I didn't hear anything today addressing those areas.
(apparently there is no iPhone 14/14 Pro/14 Pro Max prefix).
