Apple Maps CarPlay light mode bug?

I normally keep my CarPlay in dark mode, but decided to try out “automatic” I kinda like the lighter interface during the day. Why is Apple Maps using both dark AND light mode? The ETA section is light, but the direction section is dark… Has it always been this way or is this an iOS 18 bug? It bothers my OCD!
