I am noticing a problem with the Apple menu top bar. Whenever my iBooks wakes from sleep, it takes a long time, almost a whole minute for the clock to update to the current time.

It shows the time when the iBook went to sleep. It used to do this early on but would only take a few seconds for it to update, now it takes almost a minute. During this time, I cannot get the model to dial out, it just stays idle until the clock is updated.

Has anybody seen this behavior before? suggestions?

Thanks!

wow. people have been dreaming of time travel since, well... for a long time! :D

okay, what OS are you running? i remember this used to happen on my TiBook, but it never stayed at the old time for more than about 10 seconds.

does it refresh the time when you click on it? you just might have to keep clicking on it when you wake from sleep. or you could try repairing permissions. i'm not too sure what causes this.

Yeah, time travel would funky, but this being stuck in the past might not be :p

I'm running 10.2.6, this problem started happening recently, but I don't remember what could be different on the system.
I click on it, even open Date & Time and they would have the incorrect time, and then after sometime it comes back to life.

By the way, at the same time I noticed that my background image is changing every time the system wakes up from sleep, right about that moment is when time is 'unfrozen'. This happens even though the settings for backgrounds is set to remain contstant.
