While I've had this issue for as long as I can remember, it now also happens with the latest OSX.

Sorry if this is not the best place to post this. It drives me freaking crazy!

Anyone know solutions here?

best,
Ryan

Sure! - what have you tried so far (so I don't ask you to repeat something that did not work for you :D )?

Do you have less lag with a different mouse? Try a wired USB instead of a wireless mouse.
Is there less lag after you restart your Mac?
Have you tried changing the tracking speed in the Mouse pref pane? Be sure to use it with the speed both higher, and lower than your present setting. I know that may sound counter-intuitive, but slower tracking may result in more precise movement, and less apparent lag.

I have not tried any real trouble shooting. All i do is turn off the mouse and turn it back on.

There is 100% noticeable lag. I don't know any official tricks. I've also not tried a USB mouse. I don't have one. Just my lovely work issues bluetooth mouse.

When the mouse lags I'm at work and don't want to have to reboot my mac to see if that helps. The lag normally only lasts ~5 or so, but it's just frustrating.

I'll give some of those options a go in the coming days.

Thanks.

Ah, OK.
Another tip that you can try is to have your Activity Monitor open. When the mouse lags, check the CPU usage in the Activity Monitor. You may find out the mouse is not the problem, but just a result of something else taking over the CPU for a few seconds (I'm assuming the ~5 means seconds or minutes, and not hours :D ) Could also be that your Mac is sometimes running low on memory, and a slow mouse would be one result. It's possible that you can address that issue, and everything else may improve.

I have not tried any of the remedies yet but it has yet to act up since writing this. Sounds about right when it comes to technology.
