Hi, when I click the '+' symbol or 'Add to my music' while browsing the Apple Music service (on iPhone 6) a notification comes up with a large animated tick to say this has been added to the library. Then if I go to the 'My Music' tab, the music is nowhere to be found, not in the artists list or in the recently added section at the very top.

If I then go onto my desktop (iMac) and browse the recently added or artist or albums etc the added albums and songs are all present and correct. These however are still not showing up in my phone. I've tried restarting the phone and have even tried turning the iCloud Music Library off and back on a few times. Is there a known fix for this? Thanks

That was it! Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction. Feel a little silly now but that should certainly be set to off by default! The option is quite hidden away and is difficult to locate!

Where is it located

In Music.app, go to the My Music tab, then tap the dropdown for selecting Artists, Albums, Genres etc. A switch at the bottom of the menu allows you to only Show Music Available Offline.

You want to turn it off to be able to see tracks from Apple Music you have added.

Quite a weird place to put this switch by the way. I would have expected this to be in the settings for the music app. I only found this switch by accident after I had nearly been driven mad by the fact that I could see all music on my iPad and only offline music on the iPhone. ;)

Apple have followed a new design convention here that is also present in the iBooks app. I'm not sure I like it either – it clearly has a place where it is as another method of sorting and filtering, just as switching between Artists, Albums, Genres etc. do.

Though it does seem like it could be easily replicated in Settings.app.
