I ran into a strange alarm bug this morning with my new iPhone 13 PM. I normally set alarms with a song from my Apple Music library. For some reason, when I select a song for an alarm, the volume it is playing at it based off of the system volume, not the alarm volume. Also, when I select a song in the alarm app, the control center widget for the music app switches to that song as if I had gone and started that song from the music app. None of these issues occur when selecting a built-in alarm sound. I have confirmed that I have disabled the “change with buttons” under the alarms section in sounds and haptics in settings. I’m not sure if it’s related to this https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...ug-on-new-ipads-and-iphone-13-models.2312997/
Is there anyone with an iPhone 13 and Apple Music that is seeing these issues with alarms?

Update: my partner just tested this on her 2020 iPhone SE and she’s getting the same results, so it’s not iPhone 13 specific

I'm not having that issue on either my 12 Pro Max or 13 Pro Max.
Very strange! Thanks for looking into this. I find it odd it’s working exactly the same on my partner’s phone as well. I guess we’re just the lucky ones with this problem! You tested this with Apple Music, correct?

Correct, Apple Music and regular sounds. Have tried many alarms with different settings and so far they work as they should. Hopefully it will get sorted for you. If I come across something to help I'll let you know.

I had a similar, maybe the same, problem. The issue was that I had my alarms set to songs that were previously downloaded to my phone in the Music app. If they're not downloaded they won't play during the alarm because it doesn't work with streaming songs. Once I went in and downloaded those songs to the phone it worked.

Interesting. All of the songs I’ve tried to use are downloaded (I have a playlist with all my music that I use to download all music whenever I get a new phone). I just tried using songs that I downloaded directly and not through the playlist, but that didn’t work either. I think it could have something to do with the strange Apple Music bugs in iOS 15
