I was wondering will all my music and playlists transfer over when i switch to a new phone when i sign in with my apple id. Im new to apple music. I know it was like this with Spotify. Hope its the same with Apple Music

Yes, once you sign into your phone with your Apple ID, assuming your Apple Music account is active, all your music will be on your new phone.

I dont remember it taking that long. Your internet speed is probably the determining factor.
