Hey Guys,

Apologies if this has been asked already but not been able to find the answer.

I've signed up to Apple Music which is great but its made a few errors in matching my songs.. Either replacing studio tracks with LIVE versions or just getting completely wrong versions.

Because of this I now want to sync the correct tracks direct from my computer to my phone but leave apple music on for all new stuff and if possible the rest of my matched music etc.

Is this possible? I just tried to do that but it just says "iCloud Music Library is On" and isn't giving me an option to sync tracks from my computer.

You can't sync the old way once iCloud Music Library is turn on.

I wouldn't suggest turning it on, on your Mac right now either. The whole matching thing is a mess. I've found workarounds to solve things getting mismatched or replaced with wrong version. But it is a very very long and tedious process. For me I've turned off all iCloud Music Library until Apple can fix this, because WE should not have to jump through 100 hoops to have our own music available and also use the most important feature of Apple Music (saving for offline use.)

Thanks, so is it safe for me to just uncheck that option in preferences without doing damage? i have noticed the odd artwork is wrong but nothing to major.

Not to sure I will stick with streaming route.. I do like it but the monthly fee ($120 annual Fee) is more than I was paying for music in a year. I'm early 30's but just seem to listen to same old stuff. I occasionally buy the odd track if I like it.

How bout you?

I had the same problem but with live versions being replaced by studio versions. For stuff i want thats not on iTunes or Apple Music, I changed the Artist metadata outside of iTunes and readded it to iTunes, it then failed to match to anything and uploaded my local file. This is the only workaround i've found at the moment. I tried adding suffixes to track titles but that didn't work. Changing the artist is the only way so far. For example, for an Adele live album I have, i changed the artist to 'Adele - Live'
