Apologies if there's already a thread, I tried to look but couldnt see.

Has anyone noticed a really frustrating feature of Apple Music where you might add two or three songs that have been released from an upcoming album then when the album is fully released it won't let you download the remaining songs without deleting it from the library first then re adding it? Any settings I need to change?

That's not my experience. I recently added a full pre-release album, and up until the release only five out of the twelve songs were playable. After the release, the complete album was automatically in my library. I didn't have to take any extra steps.

That's what I thought should happen. Unfortunately its not for me. I'm wondering if I need to change any settings.

Are you adding the 'whole' album or just adding the 2 or 3 tracks available at the time? If you add the whole album the tracks will automatically be added as they are released.

Ah - that could be it. Even so, it still should allow me to download the tracks separately when they come available without having to delete and re-add the album though shouldn't it?

But after tracks are released are you trying to add the entire album or clicking on each track individually. You should be able to add the tracks you haven't already by adding them one at a time. Still if you want the entire album you should add it and then you don't have to do anything and as soon as the tracks are released they are added.

I try to add them one at a time but they wont. They start to download then just go back to the download icon again until I delete and re add. Very strange bug.

Thanks though, I will add full albums now as I didn't know that - even though now I do, it sounds so obvious lol

Just to confirm same issue here; is very annoying. Has been an issue from the start of Apple Music. I add a pre-release album with a couple of songs on to my library (note I am adding the actual album not the songs); when the full album is released I then have to delete the album and then manually search for and re-add the full album again to my library.

I have raised as a bug with Apple; although don't think they will bother fixing it.

I've had the same issue with Apple Music from the start. If you add a pre-release album to your library, when the album is finally officially released, all the songs are still greyed out and unplayable. The only solution is to delete the album and add it again to your music library.

I have finally got round to raising with Apple senior support.

Since iOS 10.2 has anyone had similar issues with Apple Music Playlists. For example my phone & ipad assumes that the whole album is already in my library; therfore will not allow me to add a song from the apple music playlists to my library. However when searching for the song in my library its not there.

This means when the songs get refreshed on the playlist, I loose the songs (so annoying!) Had this same issue since ios 10 beta 1.
