I turned on iTunes Match for the first time today. The Apple Music App for Mac completed the processes for matching the songs and uploading the songs that didn’t have a match to Apple.

The “Updating Cloud Music Library” / “Loading Cloud Music Library” process has not completed.

When I click on “Updating Cloud Music Library” in the bottom left corner of the Music app for Mac, it brings up an “Activity” window that shows “Loading Cloud Music Library” with a spinning circle that shows no progress being made. It has been spinning for several hour with no change.

So, here are my questions:

What is happening? What Exactly is the Music app for Mac trying to do during the spinning circle?

Can I just close everything to end the spinning circle, or will that ruin the end of the iTunes Match process?
(The Force Quit window shows that the Music app is still responding, so the Music App doesn’t need to be Force Quit.)

Can I turn on “Sync Library” on my iPad/iPhone now, or do I need to wait for something on the Mac to finish first?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

How did you solve it. Mine has been doing this for some time now.

God this music app is such hot garbage.
Nothing special.

I just quit the app, restarted the computer, and reopened the Music app. The spinning circle on the Mac was gone. The iPhone and iPad music settings showed the “sync library” Option. I turned that on, and everything showed up on all devices as they should.

Good luck!
