Apple Music app low volume issue

Anyone else notice a noticeable dip in volume in the music app after the latest update? Streaming songs seem like they got their volume halved. Interestingly, if I stream a radio station (a real station, not a playlist) the volume is where it should be. It's a problem whether I'm using Bluetooth, built-in speakers or external speakers.

I'm on an Intel 16 MBP. Every other program has normal volume levels, kind of annoying to have to keep adjusting volume when changing activities... super annoying when a notification comes through and deafens me because the volume is so high.

If anyone has any insight or help I'd appreciate it!

I had the same problem. It turned out that Sound Check (in Preferences, Playback) had been turned on. Once I turned it off, the volume was back to normal.

That was it, thank you so much! I was seriously contemplating downgrading with TimeMachine and dreading it.

I wonder why that setting alone was reset with the update?
