I signed up straight away for the 3 month trial, but had loads of issues and never renewed. Just wondered if they'd been solved.

1) Lots of missing/greyed out tracks. And some were bizarre - for example track 7 on The View album "Hats Off To the Buskers" called "Face for the Radio" was greyed out/unavailable, but all other tracks were fine. What's even weirder is I'm on the UK, and The View are a UK band, and all songs on that album were written by them. So for the life of me I can't see why that one track would be unavailable in Apple Music.

2) DJ mixed version of my music being replaced by the Match service with single version. Very annoying when you have a lot of DJ mixed albums. You really don't want the single version instead.

3) iCloud Music Library changing my artwork and/or metadata. I've spent many years properly curating nice artwork and tagging all my music properly, I don't want or need iCloud Music Library changing it.

Have the above been rectified?

Thanks

I haven't had any issues on my trial. But I had only around 300 songs of my own when I signed up. Maybe 1-2gb now. I didn't lose anything, no greyed out tracks, and my original playlists were not lost. I think all that will happen if I don't purchase is that AM songs/albums will stay stay, just greyed out.

Are you in the US? If not that is the problem. The US has way more songs to be able to play. As for grayed out songs the same missing songs on AM are also missing from Play Music but what is stupid is that if I search for the song I can usually find it on either a greatest hits album.

I can only say 2) has not been solved.

Which leads me to a question. If I had iTunes Match, would that solve the problem by any chance? I have two versions of Mike Oldfield's "Sentinel" which should both be 8:07 long, one is titled "Sentinel", one is titled "Sentinel (album version)" (because I ran out of ideas how to upload it to AM correctly), both display as 8:07 and both play the 3:56 single edit. If I had Match, would I be able to somehow force the Music app to prefer Match files over iCloud/AM files?

I'd agree it's not "fixed" but then I don't know if it's a case of more fool us for thinking something like this would ever be perfect or meet the high Apple standards we're all used to, or we're just comparing it to what we're already used to (Spotify).

At this point in time I'm getting to the stage where I am done with waiting for Apple to fix/address the issues. AM has been out for so long and we've seen minimal updates to fix things and the things that have been fixed leave us wondering why the simple things are still broken.

The thing keeping me with AM is the iTunes billing. I can't get Spotify Family through iTunes which is a dealbreaker.
