Apple Music cancelled, now can't play own library

I used Apple Music for a month and stopped my subscription. Now my phone won't let me play my own music library. I get an Apple Music nag screen asking me to get a membership to listen to this music wtf??

I've got 32gb of my own personal music on my phone, it now lets me play *some* of my playlists and music but a whole lot of it seems to be blocked and I get this nag screen. Anyone has any idea how to get rid of this??

Not an expert but I suspect that when you signed up AM replaced your real tracks with virtual iCloud tracks through it's matching process. That is how the service works, using iCloud whenever possible. So those personal tracks that were replaced with links to iCloud servers will not be available now that you have cancelled your subscription. M guess is that you will need to delete the music on your phone and reload it.

Found how to fix it from a "suggested similar thread" from the forum once I posted this. I had to turn off iCloud in the Music settings of my phone now I can play all my existing tracks on the phone. Apple Music didn't delete anything off the phone but was simply stopping me from using it. They should fix this crap.

People should be able to access their own physical files on their devices without having to turn on or off remote storage. Nor would the average person come to the conclusion that they would need to turn it off to access files. Do you really think that it’s an intuitive user friendly step that shouldn’t be improved upon, specially given tech is no longer for the techies.
