Apple Music Counts Against The 25,000 song limit!

I am using the new Apple Music service. I have a large collection of music. But when I added albums to "My Music" to stream I found I could not add any more albums after adding about 10 albums. The "borrowed" music indeed counts against the limit. An Apple specialist explained they have to pay the artist every time I play what I call a "borrowed" song. So they limit your library.

Note Apple purchased songs don't count against the limit. I do have 29,000 songs all told.

This seems weird. I could continuously play songs in the 25,000 limit and make Apple Pay artists over and over. So a user with a larger limit could play less and cost them less. I wonder if the family plan raises the limit.

I did read Apple might be thinking of raising the limit. I understand Amazon has a 250,000 limit.

I have to admit that I'm a bit confused about Apple Music. I don't have Match turned on, I just buy the music I like and I'm using Apple Music to experiment with new music.

I am using iMatch, and the Apple Music streaming service. What I can't do is add new albums to "My List" which also means I can't download them to my iPhone for music listening when I am not on Wifi. I can stream anything available on Apple Music. My actual music library is limited to 25,000 songs (excluding those I buy from iTunes). I wish at least I could have a list of streaming only so I can get back to recently discovered music (even if I can't store them anywhere).

So as long as you don't have more than 25,000 songs comprised of CD rips, or Apple Music added to your "My List" you will be perfectly fine under Apple's current rules. Again iTunes purchased songs are not counted in the limit.

I thought maybe of creating second library with music tired to the same ID, but i guess that would just "merge" not add.
