Hi,

I really like the "for you" section of Apple Music. It has worked surprisingly well so far, but does it learn based on artists you "love" when using Apple Music?

My preferred 'genre', if you can call it that, is Soundtracks, but as this wasn't an option when customising my favourite genres I've taken to liking a whole bunch of my favourite soundtracks in the hope some may be added to my "for you". As it stands I've had no luck.

Any ideas on how the "for you" section is updated post set-up?

Thanks

For me it's working stupendously. I have extremely varied interests, preferred genre is classical but the i listen also to electronic, rock, etc.
I keep on diligently pressing the "love" symbol when i love some track, and asking to remove when i see something i dont like.
After one day, i'm amazed at how well the section is working: it truly is a hub where i can just dive and discover stuff. By far the best thing of Apple Music for me so far (alongside with artist radios, which as well after a bit of customization are super great).

Great to see it's working well for others too. If it does update with suggestions based on what I "love" on top of what it's already come up with, I genuinely think it could save me hours of trawling through the internet looking for music.

How do you go about 'removing' something? I haven't encountered a remove button yet.

Keep pressed on idevices, or right click on desktop. Used it twice and managed to get rid of rap/hip hop for good.

The right click isn't working for me (OSX). I'll have to have a play.

Cheers C DM, I hadn't come across that. Definitely cleared up a couple of things. Hopefully it will learn more over time. One good point in the comments is that there isn't a list of all the songs you "love" anywhere. That would have been handy.
