The Land of Hope and Glory
I love Apple Music and have no problem paying £9.99 a month for it (I'm considering upgrading to Apple One Premier). Still, I have one problem: if I want to share a song with someone, I usually have to share it via YouTube or Spotify, as they don't all have Apple Music. If Apple made a free tier of Apple Music with ads, it would mean that people wouldn't mind signing up for the free tier to listen to songs shared by Apple Music users.

What do you think? Should there be a free tier to help with this?

I personally don’t like cross contamination of free/paid platforms. Gets incredibly messy in the UI and invites those companies to paywall even more things or “test” other annoying features like YT has been doing lately. Plenty of freemium models for people to use, keep it out of my subscription.

Yes since it seems they are the only one where you can only listen to your library unless you pay.

Best to link the song from YouTube. I use to annoy all my friends who I messaged by linking songs from Apple Music but all of them have Spotify so now I just link the song from YouTube.

I ended up paying for YouTube Premium in the end as I couldn't cope with the ads from friends music videos.

Somebody had extra lines on their family plan and added me on there for no extra charge. I was tempted to since I could swear they recently doubled the ads. :\
