Why is this happening???

I don't want ANY music on my iPhone cause it takes up space. That's the reason why I'm paying for Apple Music..

I have the option "Add Playlist Songs To My Music" turned off, but it keeps adding music.. And when I turn off iCloud Music Library, the songs on my phone go back to zero. WHHHHYYYY???? :(:(:mad:

Go to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > Manage Storage > Music. Then touch Edit and delete all of your on-device songs. Now, when you are in the Music app, don't save any songs to your iPhone.

What option turned off? There's no option to prevent downloading to the device. Sounds like a playlist might be set to download, which is why the don't show up when iCloud Music Library is off.

I edited my original post to show which option I have off...

Go to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > Manage Storage > Music. Then touch Edit and delete all of your on-device songs. Now, when you are in the Music app, don't save any songs to your iPhone.

Music is not listed in there o_O

My "About" shows 42 songs, even though the Music app shows zero downloaded content. These are just temp cached files from streaming ("Other").

You're not supposed to obsess about Other, or go poking around in the sausage factory. The OS will manage itself just fine. ;-)

Then you're OK. When you listen to a song on Apple Music, it's streamed, but it's also kept temporarily so you can listen to it again on or offline. It's not a permanent download. So those songs will automatically be deleted when the space is needed.

When you stream a temp cache keeps songs on your device. Even though it does not show under storage, its there taking up space. To wipe the cache, just go to Settings->Music->turn off iCloud Music Library. Wait a 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
