Apple music - how to import from NAS without copy?

Hi guys,

I have the music my wife bought on iTunes over the last years on my NAS. On my Macbook Air there is not enough disk space. Since iTunes is gone and has been replaced by the Music app, how can I just import (but neither move nor copy) the music files on my NAS, so she can sync her iPod nano?

Hi, I am sure that your NAS has an iTunes server app, my Asustor has it and my Qnap too.

Uncheck the bottom option here.

Under Music > Preferences > Files.
