I am pretty sure I know the answer to this already, but figured I'd ask.

I have a lot of Pearl Jam concert bootlegs. I am very particular about my album artwork being correct. When using Apple Music and iCloud Library, the album art for all of these albums are completely incorrect and seem to just be randomly given art by Apple. Songs have art associated with the album it was originally on, and then the concert is given some random PJ art.

Turning off iCloud Music Library is not an option for me because the main reason I have Apple Music is for offline listening (I live in NYC, I am underground a lot and most of my music listening is done offline...plus I just don't have the necessary data plan to constantly be streaming if I wanted to).

I have tried deleting and adding the art again, to no avail. From my research, I am guessing I am out of luck if I am not willing to turn off iCloud Music Library because every "I fixed it" article mentions turning that off.

Perhaps with the Apple Music refresh this fall they will give you the option to manually override their decisions, because it is super frustrating from a fan's standpoint to see all these albums with wrong artwork.

So, is there something I can try before giving up?

It must have something to do with how you tagged the files, or with the tags partially matching something in the catalog... because Apple Music uploaded the two albums of my old band (can't be in iTunes catalog, never commercially produced), and when I stream it, the correct artwork is there.

It's definitely partially matching their catalog. All the songs they play in concerts are on previous albums so they are reading all the songs as a part of a compilation it seems and then attaching a seemingly random Pearl Jam album as the cover art (usually their latest album or greatest hits).
