Apple Music Issues

Let me preface this by saying that I really want Apple Music to be great. I love Spotify, but would love for Apple Music to be just as great if not better, and merge easily with my own iTunes library on my devices.

It seems like there is no simple way to use this service at this present moment. If I turn on iCloud Music Library and allow myself to download songs, albums, and playlists from Apple Music, then every time I attempt to do so it undoes the option to only show offline/stored music. This brings in all of the past iTunes purchases and a ton of stuff that I have purposefully left off my phone through syncs with my Mac. Why is this? I am asking for this specific song, album, or playlist to be stored offline for playback, so why does it not just join up with the other music I have synced to my device? This seems like it should be extremely simple.

I also don't understand why it always attempts to replace songs that are on Live albums with Apple Music studio cuts. I have an extensive library of live music, and a lot of it comes from legally recorded concerts that are distributed via torrents and I convert them to mp3s for use in iTunes and on my iPhone. I have had many issues with songs either not showing up, being greyed out, or being randomly replaced with an Apple Music copy that is either from a studio album or another live album that is available within Apple Music.

Why is it so difficult for them to get this right? All I want is to be able to transfer songs to my devices from my own iTunes library, and have them join up with other songs, albums, and playlists that I download from Apple Music. Spotify does a fantastic job of allowing me to save albums and songs, create playlists, listen to and keep their own playlists, etc., but Apple Music seems to be struggling.

Am I doing something wrong here, or is this really as big of a pain in the ass as I think it is?

I have had much the same issue. A lot of my live albums "bootlegs" appear on my iPhone as studio versions. I've tried renaming the song names (e.g. adding "(Live in LA 28/08/87)" for example), and that didn't work either.

Looks like I'll be sticking with old school library management and iPhone sync (via cable).

I miss the days when Apple software worked for me. Now I have to work for Apple software.

same issue... however append worked for me.... I don't have that many CD's but still not in the position to modify/correct 40+ songs just because of a title miss-match.

Its not only match songs, have a whole bunch of Apple music i've added directly from Apple music to my playlist, and a few albums have "double up tracks" eg track 1, 1 track 2, 2 etc..

also not going to remove/re-add these back, since tomorrow it will only effect other albums.

its the same with syncing, so what is stuffed up on from Mac side, appears the same in iphone and ipad.

Apple won't get this right, their in too deep... i may start paying for two month after free trial just to see any improvement, but if i see nothing happening, i'm moving on probably to spotify.

Also, I can't even "heart" a playlist or album. there is a bug within that too. Disgusting and appalling that there are countless issues within this app/service, and they haven't seemed to fix any of them.

Apple Music is very frustrating for me. I'm thinking about bagging it.

The ability to tell it "I don't like this suggestion" is completely screwed, so my "For You" section is full of crap I hate.

8.4 iPad, it worked on recommended albums, but not recommended playlists.

ON 8.4 iPhone, it worked on both.



on 9.0 iPad, it doesn't work on either.

on 9.0 iPhone, it now only works on recommended playlists, but not recommended albums.



Great job beta testing this thing. I would have that they would have fixed the bugs from 8.4, but they just made it worse.

I tested albums ....

Added "news from Nowehere", "Vanishing Race," and "The Earth is..." compete albums back into my library..

within 30 minutes songs were duplicated.

iPhone users face a lot of problems like this. I think you should google for some website that will allow you to solve this issue. but, I can suggest you to try ***********. This website help transfer musics. So, I think you should try it.

Why are you digging up old threads from 2015 (3 so far)? The info is out of date, the problems are corrected or moved on by the OP and not always relevant to 2017.
