Apple Music, iTunes, and my Song

I have Apple Music but I want to add a song that is a mix I made, but iTunes refuses to add it to my library. When I drag the song into iTunes, nothing happens (Library used to highlight so you could drop the song).

I have turned off Apple Music on my Mac but it still doesn't work.

I have googled, but that was fruitless.

Anyone have any ideas?

Nothing opens. Re-ripped it. Works now.
I'm usually much better at troubleshooting. Thanks for your help.

You have "Music" selected rather than some "Ramones" playlist.
iTunes will get prissy if your new song doesn't match playlist parameters?
