I realize it's hard to know for certain, but does anyone have an idea if we'll be able to use Apple Music with beta 2 on June 30th or if we'll have to downgrade to 8.4 to access it? I haven't seen much talk about this on here today. I don't know much about what Apple can do to change the music app without pushing out another update but it doesn't even seem to be prompting to start the free trial like the current 8.4 beta is. Thoughts?

Since it is server side, I don't see why not. By the way am I the only one that gets nothing but a white background when trying to use Apple music? I can't even get it to work since I upgraded my iPad and iPhone to iOS 9 beta 2. It worked fine in beta 1.

No, you're not the only one...

Give it time. Had a white background for Radio yesterday. This morning Radio appeared to be working fine.

Yep, same for me. So looks like we should be able to use Apple Music when it launches as it does appear to be server side.

The thing that makes me nervous about getting Apple Music next week is that in b1, anytime I searched for an artist and chose radio, I could pull the artist info and look at all of the albums and songs available for streaming. Now in b2 it only gives the option to start an artist radio station.

I think if they can enable the Radio to be working, which it wasn't at all yesterday, they can enable Apple Music. We will see but I don't think they leave the beta testers out.

The service should work as mentioned, since it's a flick of a server switch. If I had to guess though, I reckon we'll get beta 3 on Tuesday next week with the finished music app and updated icon.

How are we gonna get a fully working Music app on June 30th when tabs like Connect, New, For You are still missing?? You really think they can add them remotely??

Yeah they can. Just like how they can add and take away the radio section. See the icons can already be there just waiting to be activated. Also look at the AppleTV for example (which runs a modified version of iOS) Apple can put new channels on there without a software update. It's just a matter of turning the icons on.

They easily can. It's already programmed into the app. When Apple is ready they'll send information to your phone to say "hey, turn music on", and it'll do it on the spot.

They've done this before, like with the Apple TV (which runs iOS), and they've already done it with the Music app too.

Because June 30th is the confirmed launch date of Apple Music and it'll have to be?

They didn't say "we're launching it in beta from june 30th" they said its coming fully-featured on june 30th. Yes they can just turn it on remotely; iTunes Radio is the same; it often showed up randomly when setting up a new phone. Plus, if you change your iTunes store account to a US one iTunes radio shows up permanently and can be played. Like others have said its already built in, just needs to be switched on for a specific geography.
