Apologies if this is the wrong section of the forums for this, it probably is but couldn’t see an Apple Music section.

If I was to temporarily unsuscribe from Apple Music and then reactivate via a carrier package would I loose all the play counts, last played details of any songs that I’ve listened to while I was originally subscribed or does it keep a record of that against my Apple ID so it would all be there again when reactivated (I’d be using same Apple ID to deactivate)?

Similar question for my non Apple Music Music, if play counts etc have updated while I was subscribed when I unsuscribe would it wipe off any details that were as a result of being subscribed, ie if pre Apple Music a song had a play count of 10 but now has 50 would it return to 10 or remain at 50?

FWIW, I've been trying to add my brother to my Family Account (he has an Android device). Last time we tried he signed up for Apple Music then unsubscribed. He just tried again and said it didn't keep any of his library.

That was my worry, it would pretty much delete everything when you unsubscribe and forget you. Then when you resuscribe it treats you like new! Not what I was hoping for as I've 6 months free as part of carrier deal but I'd have to cancel and rejoin through them!

Anyone know anyway round this?

Maybe go to get support.apple.com and look through there. I set up a call back earlier and they were somewhat helpful. I wished they could have done more but there are limitations to what I was asking.
