Apple Music Question

I want music match. If I sign for for Apple Music, does it do the match portion automatically? Or is that not part of Apple Music?

You're right about being different. If iTunes Match matched a song with varying Meta Data from the iTunes store, you still got the upgraded iTunes Plus matched 256kbps file. However, I'm finding some of the Apple Music files are just duplicating into the album if you add it to your collection. For example, I had 311's greatest hits as an album in my iTunes cloud library. Today, I added the Apple Music version to my library and it made a 17 track album into 20 tracks because the meta data on three tracks were different from the Matched to the Apple Music versions. I couldn't even tell which items to remove from the album (duplicates) because they show no differences on my phone. I fear that removing the Matched version will then remove it from my iPod next time I sync it...ugh this isn't gonna be fun!
